3 MEANINGS OF REVELATION

We have been reading the Bible for long time.But is it not the fact that many a times we dont understand what we read ? Why is it? One reason I have found out of my struggle from my personal devotion is this - REVELATION. Yes, I understand the Bible better with Revelation ! But what is Revelation ?

1. OPENING OF EYES 

 3000 years ago the Psalmist prayed to God requesting,'' Open my eyes O Lord.." Psalm 119:18.Here we get a clear clue to understand the Word of the Lord. But it it is God Who should open our '' inner eyes.''Then what happens ? We will be able to SEE wondrous things fro His Word.That is revelation.

2. ENLIGHTENING OF HEARTS 

 Though the letter of Ephesians has only six chapters, Paul says these words in 1:18, ''that the eyes of your hearts or understanding be ENLIGHTENED...'' What a prayer? But that is the secret od understanding God's eternal words.When we switch on the light in a dark room darkness is dispelled and light is illumined.Let that happen in our Bible reading!

3. HEARING OF VOICE 

 This is the need of the hour.To hear the small still voice is the secret of godly life.Peter heard God's voice.Acts 11:7.But in our devotional life we must be able hear God speaking to us through His Holy Word.That is what the Lord meant when He said that, '' we dont live by bread alone but men living by every word from God...''
