INTRO:
Aristotle added a fifth element, “aether” (Clear Sky), in addition to four: fire, earth, air, and water. Earth is a Picture of WIND, RAIN, FIRE
SCRIPTURE READING:
PSALM 104:1 TO 15 ; ACTS 2:1TO 8; MATHEW 3:1-11.
3 ELEMENTS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT:
1. WIND+ (125): (1) First Occurrence is Genesis 8:1, “But God remembered Noah (=Rest) and all the wild animals and the livestock that were with him in the ark, and He sent a wind over the earth, and the waters receded.” (2) Then He said to me, "Prophesy to the breath; prophesy, son of man, and say to it, 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: Come from the four winds (Ruach), O breath (Ruach), and breathe into these slain (Dead), that they may live." Ezekiel (God will Strenghten) 37:9 (3) “Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind (Pnoe) came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting.” Act 2:2.
2. RAIN+ (107): (1) First Occurrence in Genesis 2:5, 6, “and no shrub of the field had yet appeared on the earth and no plant of the field had yet sprung up, for the LORD God had not sent rain on the earth…6 but streams came up from the earth” (2) “Let us acknowledge the LORD; Let us press on to acknowledge Him. As surely as the sun rises, He will appear; He will come to us like the winter rains, like the spring rains that water the earth." Hosea 6:3. (3) Promise to JACOB, Israel, Jeshurun Vs 1 & 2. “For I will pour water on the thirsty land, and streams on the dry ground; I will pour out My Spirit on your offspring, and my blessing on your descendants.” Isaiah 44:3.
3. FIRE+ (465): (1) First Occurrence in Genesis 22:6, “Abraham took the wood for the burnt offering and placed it on his son, Isaac, and he himself carried the fire and the knife. As the two of them went on together…” (2) “FIRE came out from the presence of the LORD and consumed the burnt offering and the fat portions on the altar. And when all the people saw it, they shouted for joy and fell facedown.” Leviticus 9:24. (3) “They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them.” Acts 2:3.
CONCLUSION: “Send us the WIND…RAIN…FIRE… LORD!”
